Am I missing something or are you unable to use iCloud to keep say Numbers files sync'd? I don't want or need an iPad but I like the idea of iCloud so I can use Numbers files on my work iMac and later use the same Numbers files on my MBP at home.

Or is this not possible. Apple's website seems to be devoid of proper instruction on exactly how to use iCloud.

I'm shocked that Apple don't provide official instructional material on their site to allow users to quickly get to grips with their new releases. The forums are awash with people like me having to resort to trial and error having been misled by some poster with dodgy answers.

Flamers don't bother responding, keep you opinions to yourself, I am seeking help here.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

I do not believe iWork are iCloud aware yet. Hard to believe so I been thinking I must be missing something but so far I think it is iCloud's.com only and iOS apps

At this time, on Mac, it seems you need to upload every time, which kinda defeats the purpose.
Or I'm missing something too...
I'm sure an iWork update will be coming soon though.

iCloud with iWork's

Well you first need to be able to see the library folder
chflags nohidden ~/Library/

Next, all your documents are in ~/Library/Mobile Documents.

From here on I explore...

The problem with that is that when you drop files in there, it formats the documents in a way that that pages can't open. So no way to my understanding that iWork for mac can open docs you already uploaded unless you download from iCloud website.

This is rather stupid, it can't be that hard to let docs sync with the mac. Most of us (serious users) like to type on a real computer and then use iPhone/iPad/iPod for quick changes.
