iCloud/old .mac address

I had a .mac/MobileMe account for 5 or 6 years until last Fall. It's still the login address used for my iTunes account, even though it's got a different email address associated with it.

With iCloud will I be able to use this expired address again, or will I need to create a brand new xxx@me.com account?

Not sure... I think (but I'm not sure about it!) that you will be able to log in with it, but I have no idea about using it for mail.
