Has anyone been able to confirm whether "iCloud+" (specifically the new security features) will be included as part of Apple One? It seems like it should be, since increased iCloud storage already is, but I have yet to find anything specifically mentioning it. Just curious if anyone else had.

Thanks!

It has to be, because iCloud+ replace every paid iCloud subscription that you have. The only iCloud users that don’t have the iCloud+ are the free users. So on Apple One, no matter which iCloud stockage option you have, you’ll have iCloud+

EDIT: only feature that vary is the number of HomeKit Secure Video cameras you can connect. 50GO iCloud is limited to one HKSV camera, 200GO limited to 5 cameras, and 2To unlimited cameras. No camera data count in your iCloud storage

That was my thinking as well. Seems like it would be a frowned upon move from Apple to exclude their One subscribers from a feature you can get on a $1USD subscription. But I can't help but be paranoid there will be some "exception" ?

Side note:
Someone should make an app to allow us to keep track of all our subscriptions.
Honestly, with so many services available now (Hulu, Netflix, Apple One, Amazon Prime, etcetera), it is hard to keep up. Am probably over here paying a bloody fortune in services .

Alas, I digress.

I tried the Apple One for a bit, then cancelled it. Why? I signed up on release day, and then realized that I would lose all the free services that Apple had already given me (free Apple TV, due to new device purchases and such). Probably by November, I will sign up again...

I’d only be for such an app if it has a sub as well.

Let’s not stop there though. What if there was an app that helped you track your spending on everything? But that’s just fantasy talk I suppose. And probably would have to pay a higher sub to unlock that kind of feature. It’ll never happen.

PS: I don't think I want to see the total monthly, on subscriptions :(

Okay that’s explains why its not working for me, thanks!

I thought i remembered someone saying on the forum that they had tried it (Private Relay which i thought was iCloud+) and it was really slow and then they disabled it and it was faster so i thought the service was live!

EDIT: Found the link which I see you have seen @Apple_Robert

I could be wrong but, I believe the reason people have been able to use it is because they already had a paid iCloud account. If you didn't, you will probably have to wait.

Okay no problem, lets hope Apple sort this out before the final release. As its only beta 1, i know loads will change over the coming months!

Phew, I just got on Beta 1 (because I know Beta 2 is around the corner) and was wondering why I couldn't have it with Apple One.

It's asking me to "upgrade" to a personal 50GB account.

Cool feature though. It will be a nice addition.

UPDATE:

Beta 1 is now allowing me to use private relay with my Apple One Premium account, and its showing iCloud+ in settings instead of just iCloud.

So the answer is yes iCloud+ is included with apple one (at least with the premium) but I’m guessing all Apple one accounts will have access!
