The "iCloud Passwords for Firefox" extension has been taken over by Apple and is now just "iCloud Passwords":

The original developer confirmed the transfer on the old extension's Github:

The extension is a little glitchy so far, and some people are complaining of slowness, but it's nice to finally have an official option for us Firefox users!

A few things that have reassured me of the authenticity of the extension until there's an official announcement from Apple (if there ever is one):
  1. The dev mentioned this listing takeover in advance, with a screenshot of an email from a Mozilla employee about it.
  2. The "Apple Inc." profile on the extension directory goes back years with the iCloud Bookmarks extension, which I assume is also official, and would've been pulled by Mozilla / Apple if it were an impersonator.
It's also funny to see the original extension dev on Reddit criticizing the new code.
