Hi all,

Okay I have latest iOS and got a message today on my iPhone saying something along the lines that my photos have not backed up on iCloud. Now I have got lots of iCloud space and my iPhone backs up daily on iCloud and it shows it has. So not sure what’s going on. I do use a vpn which is on all the time but don’t see why that would cause the problem.

I had this issue before and my iPhone memory was all being used up. Then I signed completely out of iCloud and my Apple ID and resigned in again.

Then it took forever for all my photos etc to show back on my iPhone from iCloud and my iPhone memory went back to normal and everything was fine. But the issue has happened again. Any ideas how to resolve this issue?

As I don’t want to sign out and sign in again and then wait endless days for my photos etc to show on my iPhone again.

Is your Photos lib an iCloud Photos Lib? If so all you photos are already in iCloud.

iCloud backup would not back it up again. The message you see may just be saying that.

The size of iCloud backups in iCloud is much smaller than the storage used on the phone, because anything that can be downloaded from iCloud is not included in the iCloud backup.

EDIT just realised “not” was missed out in second line.
