Hi there, I’m hoping the forum might be able to help with an issue I’m having.
I recently updated my 6s+ to iOS12. All good and well, working fine. If anything, it’s quite snappy. I also decided to save on memory by turning on iCloud Photos. I upgraded my iCloud account to ensure I had enough capacity there, followed the instructions on the Apple website, and turned on the service.
My library (which was previously well over 12,000 images) uploaded in about 18hrs over a fibre service, with a couple of pauses during the process, leaving it to run overnight.
When I checked this morning, the upload had, much to my surprise, finished, but with only 6000 or so images having transferred to iCloud! A few folders that were created on my now deceased Mac have completely disappeared, along with a whole raft of images.
Thankfully I’ve got a backup in Google Photos, but that’s not the point. I’m completely bemused and very annoyed. I feel like I’ve upgraded my iCloud account and ended up with a far worse service than ever before.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance!
