I am working on a mac with a iCloud preference pane issue. The iCloud account that shows up does not exist. it has somehow replaced an email address with @mac.com as the user id. I checked on iCloud and this email address does not exist. I try to logout and it hangs, since the account does not exist. I would like to enter the real Apple ID, but cannot. I have deleted everything from the Internet Accounts preference pane, but that does not help.

Is there a seperate preference pane preferences file just for the iCloud preference pane that I can manually delete? I could then setup the correct Apple ID.

Thanks.

The credentials can be viewed/deleted in the Keychain Access application (I use Spotlight to find/launch Keychain Access). Search for @ mac/me/iCloud credentials, and you'll likely find your target.

I found it and deleted it. Rebooted. But the problem persists. Very strange.
I eventually saw that the installer created a new user folder during the installation. There must have been a problem with the original one. I copied everything to the new user folder and deleted the old one. Problem solved.
