iCloud: problems editing contact card in Address Book

There are multiple cards with duplicate addresses (email & physical), email, etc, as the result of a merge. I tried going through each card and deleted the duplicate info though comes right back within a matter of seconds. Does anyone know how to fix this?

same problem. The info I delete pops right back in.

I deleted the card and started from scratch. It appears to be holding.
