Icloud push mail problems

Heya

Seams im having a problem with icloud push mail, the mail will only push if i have the mail native app running in the background.

I have checked settings, they are all set to push, and push does works fine with other mail (for example, gmail exchange).

Is anybody else having this problem?

Push Email not working in iCloud?

For some reason since my wife updated to iOS 5 she lost her ability to get push emails in iCloud (formerly MobileMe). We tried a few things like restarts, turning push on and off. Nothing seems to cure it.

As a last resort before a full restore, I thought I would try and do a reset of the network settings. Basically you have to redo your wifi network logins and passwords. Anyway, worked right out of the gate. Now she is getting emails live rather than only when she opens mail or taps for updates.

Hope that helps anyone else with that problem.

I'm also getting PUSH mail from two different iCloud accounts. (My iTunes AppleID account, and my upgraded MobileMe AppleID account.)

I did a restore to get my App data after upgrading, but redid all of my mail accounts as I had the new iCloud accounts, and the accounts I had setup previously were outdated anyway.

Maybe you could try deleting and re-adding your iCloud account?

I know there are some people having trouble, and some people for whom it seems to be working.

So even if you CLOSE your mail app (not running in background) you can still get pushed email to your me.com?
