iCLoud - replace server bookmarks with computer?

I currently use Xmarks to sync my bookmarks on my laptop, desktop and work. I would like to use iCloud but it only gives me the option to Merge with the bookmarks on the server and not replace. How can I sync and not worry about pulling down 8month old bookmarks?

You have bookmarks on iCloud already? If so, go in an delete them entirely. Then the "merge" will upload your local versions to the cloud instead.
