Hey guys,

So the iPhone 4S should be arriving tomorrow and I'm trying to decide how to setup the new phone. Here are my choices

1. Set up as new phone and sync over all apps and reorganize everything from the start.

2. Backup current iPhone to iCloud or iTunes and restore all folders and settings to the new iPhone 4S!

Here is my concern...I jailbroke my device a few months back but then decided I didn't like it and unjailbroke the phone. I'm not sure if the crazy coding still exist in my phone and therefore, I'm not sure how to setup the new phone exactly...

Does iCloud backup and restore in a way that it just grabs **** from the server and doesn't actually carry over corrupt code over? Please explain!

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

I would say iCloud does not carry corrupt code. Since its over the air the backup is smaller. iTunes backs up the whole phone so corrupt code might carry over.

Nice! Anybody else know for sure or from past experience. I wish I knew the technical side of iCloud vs. iTunes Backup

What do you mean corrupt code? And how did you unjailbreak it? I assume you didn't use pawnage tool since that creates a modified firmware file and unjailbreaking it means restoring a fresh Apple iOS firmware. So you used redsn0w? So what does unjailbreak mean? How did you do that?
