Hello Everyone,

I just a got an iPhone 12 mini and wanted to give feedback on one or two issues I encountered.

When setting up my new iPhone I first did a direct transfer of everything using Bluetooth (from my previous iphone) to my new iPhone.

- My Microsoft Authenticator App had all of its accounts right away but lost all of its accounts around 30min later. I could not restore either as it would just hang and not do anything when attempting to restore. (Authenticator was backed up and has a sync function)
- I could not delete any apps only move them to library. I tried every step I could but never got the option to delete any apps.
- I tried wiping the old phone just in case there were any weird issues with it still being around but still was having issues.

I wiped and reset my iPhone 12 mini, logged in manually, and then restored an icloud backup I had of my previous phone from the beginning of the month instead during setup.

- Authenticator worked fine as I could now restore on it without it bugging out.
- I could now delete any apps I wanted to as the "Delete" option was now popping up instead of only move to library.
- Quickly did a manual backup to icloud of the new phone.

I know the "not being able to delete apps" issue is common but it may be from doing a direct transfer as I was allowed to delete them from doing a normal setup and icloud restore instead.

I am sure doing literally everything from scratch on setup and installing the apps manually would have been good as well but I did not test that.

Hope this helps. If anyone has other issues that were fixed from not doing a direct transfer feel free to post.

I'm having this exact issue right now. Guess I'll wipe the device and restore it from a backup too.

Late reply but did it end up working for you? If there are any changes for the original post I can make let me know. Hopefully it helped.
