somehow when merging my mobileme bookmarks with my icloud one of my bookmarks (an instapaper bookmarklet) got copied a few thousand times. Not sure how it happened but I think its causing other problems.

I am trying to use my iphone to delete them but its taking forever. is there any way to access my mobile me bookmarks from the web or from a computer to make this go faster? or any way to just delete all my bookmarks and start over?

I have this issue too, and have to have bookmarks turned off on both my icloud and my mobileme accounts now. I know it is an issue and is in the release notes.

But as the OP says, I too am trying to find a way to delete all of the thousands of bookmarks, with the mobileme control panel there was a way, I cannot think of a way with icloud though

It should be easy to edit these once you have you mac sinced with all your devices. you should be able to delete the duplicates and hopefully that would push to the cloud thus deleting the duplicates from your device.

Removing duplicates

It should be easy to edit these once you have you mac sinced with all your devices. you should be able to delete the duplicates and hopefully that would push to the cloud thus deleting the duplicates from your device.

Removing duplicates manually is fine if we are talking about dozens, but not if you have hundreds or thousands... There are software that make this automatically. Safari Prairiefire removed 4000+ of my duplicates that iCloud introduced.

Of course, I still had to correct the sync issue but this way I got a clean bookmarks file to start with.
