iPod iCloud Serious Privacy Concern

I'm not happy that my app download history has just been shared with my whole family.

I share my iTunes account with mv wife etc and now I have to explain my private download choices because everything I have bought and deleted on my iPhone is available for them to see.

All the apps I may have downloaded at the office messing about with the guys, safe in the knowledge I could just delete them off the phone, can now be seen and scrutinised

Not just "awkward" ones but also the expensive ones etc

I don't see why I have to forced to explain my purchase choices

Why can't these histories be edited?

Anyone else feel the same?

The fact that this iCloud thread is in the "iPod" section - saved for the Classic, Nano, Shuffle, and Mini - won't warrant the answers or discussion you're looking for.

Let me get this straight:

You're worried that you downloaded fine, classy apps such as (I'm making these up) "Swimsuit Babes", "Bedroom Tricks", and "iJiggle", and now you're regretting it. You obviously have an App purchasing history you don't want others to see. Are you a New York politician or something? If you didn't want these things to be known, you should have been an adult, and not downloaded them in the first place. Did you send crotch photos from Twitter, too? This history has always been there in the form of redownloading. The only difference is that now we can see it in a convenient list.

If you can't share things like this with your wife, you've got bigger problems at hand. No one should need to sneak. Ever. If you have a lot to hide in your App purchasing history, I would start telling her now about your Safari browsing history.

This thread is a joke. This isn't a "Privacy Concern", this is a "I was being a child, satisfying myself with idiotic apps, and now I don't want to be caught by my wife" thread.

No, it may be what I will have to do but that means giving up a lot of benefit from sharing an account in the family

For the sake of being able to kick a few titles off the list, which seems a simpler way to go, seems a bit "sledgehammer/nut" to me.

It's not just the privacy bit mind you, but also it would be good to make the list smaller. We all buy or try some apps that you may well never want to darken your device again. My apps lis is pages long.

I do think app choice is a personal thing though and now I may well have to sacrifice convenience, easier cost control etc

Ahh pants! Was supposed to be in iTunes forum, how the heck did I manage that !
 
How is anything different here? If you share your iTunes account with your wife, then you already share access to the purchase history of that account. Purchase history is one of the accessible details when one is signed into the iTunes Store.

Agreed, and I don't know why Apple doesn't give you the ability to take items off the list or hide certain things in some way. But then again... this is Apple. They decide what's best.
 
You know it's been this way for a while before this update. Look in your App store. There is a section in there that shows all the ones you have purchased.

If you are so private, then setup separate accounts.
