iCloud setup ( no verification mail)

Hi

I downloaded/installed 10.7.2 and iOS5 and have been trying to set up iCloud on my iPad and on my iMac.

On my iPad the app under settings crashes constantly to the home screen when "verifying" and on my mac it says it has sent a verification mail to my yahoo. There's no mail there however.

Am I doing something wrong or is it because of overload on the side of Apple?
