iCloud Shared Albums with Android?

Is it possible to have a shared album that non icloud users can add pictures to?

From what I gather, iOS 15 and Monterey are supposed to auto-add photos people share with you to your iCloud Photo library. I’m not entirely sure how it will work though. It would be nice if it would auto-add them to a shared album of your choosing, depending on the sender.

It sort of works exactly like that except then you manually have to add it to a shared album. 1 extra, annoying step
