As a long time mac user like many here, i signed up for all the services with Apple...
so my icloud account...has me sign in with a @me.com, but also had to have my @mac.com merged as family...however also have a gmail that was somehow linked to movies...what a mess.

Anyone have a clue why Apple hasn’t fixed this crapshow? I just want to use my icloud address for everything. The last time I called for support they just said...all we can do is family share these addresses. Gross.

Well, wait a second ... it was you who created an Apple ID using a gmail address and purchased movies under that ID. That's not on Apple. There has never been an option to merge Apple IDs other than this new option about family sharing.

I’m pretty sure the gmail was before .mac to buy on iTunes, then got the .mac account, then the .me, then .icloud. I just think they should provide a way to fix this eyesore....especially before they launch some next version of cloud services, causing yet another bundle of yarn.
