Since the widespread outage on March 21, iCloud has been having intermittent problems. The two I’ve noticed is Safari syncing (bookmarks, settings, tabs groups, etc) and Reminders. Both have been frequently having delays syncing. I’ve seen delays last 5 minutes or more. For Safari, if the delays last long enough syncing simply breaks.

For reminders I’m seeing the following in the console logs currently, “Throttler denied operation”, which means that the server can‘t keep up with the number of requests. Considering Reminders was working normally on March 22, something else must have happened today.

For Safari, I had to toggle Safari off and on in the iCloud settings on my Mac, iPhone and iPad to get syncing working on March 22. I needed to do that again today on my iPhone and iPad and a second time on my iPad today. Even now, it’s taking a few minutes to sync simple changes like changes to the start page. I’m assuming that’s also being throttled.

Basically Apple is still having problems despite what the status page says. At the moment it says Photos is having issues, but keychain and messages were also broken today. I think it’s bigger than that.

Edit:

Notes are also not syncing in a timely manner. It took several minutes. I think there’s a bigger iCloud problem currently.

Seems to have been resolved again. Hopefully it sticks this time.

Here
I started having issues today that have gotten progressively worse. I noticed early in the afternoon that my iCloud tabs were not synchronizing. Then this evening I realize that my reminders were not updating as I mark them off. Now I have text files on my Mac sitting in iCloud Drive with a progress bar that never finishes that are not showing up on my other devices.

Odd as I’ve been having no issues at all this evening. Unlike a couple of days ago, when nothing was working, it’s been working great.
