I have gone into: settings, my name, then to iCloud where I see manage storage and for messages it says 21.6 GB, but I have deleted all but about 1 GB of messages.
I have gone into iCloud using a laptop but there is no "messages" there so nothing I can look at. I called Apple and they wanted to do a complete restore of the phone and I dont want to do that unless absolutely necessary.
I have removed most of the "top conversations" but more than that I have gone into the messages app and deleted hundreds of pics and texts...no matter how many texts I delete the storage goes up when I text more.
One thing I thought of was signing out of my account on the phone itself and signing back in, but I dont know what that does to my apps, info, etc.
Any ideas?
Also, in my iPhone STORAGE as in for the phone NOT for iCloud, under messages it says 351.4 MB. So the phone reflects the correct amount of space the "messages" are taking, it is the iCloud that is stuck and greatly limiting my space in the cloud...I pay the .99 a month for 50GB.
