Looking for some advice please. Long time Apple user, iPhone owner, Macbook owner, and as of today Apple Watch owner too - although my question isn't about that!
I participated in the iOS 9 betas and am now on the final (9.0.2) having chosen not to continue on the beta path for the time being.
However, since being on the betas - I'm not sure whether it's coincidental or not - my iCloud storage has messed up. It's now constantly warning me it's nearly full - ALL THE TIME - and it's getting frustrating.
There's quite a lot of photos on my phone - maybe 400 or so - but nowhere near enough to fill the 5GB. In fact, the iPhone says its using about 2GB of storage locally so it's not using that much space.
On iCloud, it says Photo Library is using well in excess of 3GB and I can't see where this space is going. It obviously says use the Photos app to manage Photo Library storage and I've tried deleting photos on both my Mac and my iPhone but no matter what I do IT STILL nags me that it is nearly full or full.
iPhone backups take up around 1GB on iCloud which seems fair enough.
My question is this - I'm quite happy that the only photos I need on the cloud are the photos on my iPhone. Is it possible to just wipe Photo Library clean and let it back up JUST what's on the iPhone again? I tried turning Photo Library off but it has a 30 day cooling off period.
I just want to turn it off - wipe the iCloud storage clean and then JUST backup what's on my phone.
Otherwise I'm going to have to start paying 79p a month to Apple - and frankly I think they've had enough money from me!!
