I bought 50GB of iCloud storage a few days ago. When I open my Files app on my iPhone, it shows CORRECTLY that I have "10 items and 49.29 GB available on iCloud".

But when I open the Files app on my iPad, it shows INCORRECTLY that I have "10 items and 4.63 GB avialable on iCloud".

BOTH the iPhone and the iPad show 50GB iCloud in Settings.

What gives?

Just a thought...I have several Apple devices, from Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, iPads, and two iPhones. Why doesn't Apple give us bonus or additional storage capacity on iCloud for every new device we buy. If not 5GB, perhaps even 3GB each time would be good enough. We are not rewarded enough for supporting Apple.

Because Apple makes no money that way. Money is what Apple is all about. You don't become one of the richest companies in the world by giving things away.

I don’t understand complaints regarding limited free iCloud storage. People will spend considerable $$$ for iPhones and other Apple devices and complain about iCloud storage costs of 0.99 or 3.99 a month. Unless people here just like to complain. I consider it part of the total cost of operations to be in the Apple eco system. I do not consider it an Apple tax.

When I consider how much time I spent untangling a variety of Windows issues and comparatively how little time I spend doing that, after switching to Apple, I consider these related costs well spent. Stop complaining!

They sold you a device at a price you agreed to pay.
Why should secure, private, digital storage be free?

Likely because of Google, but we don't realize how much privacy we're sacrificing going that route.
