Wondering if I’m missing something obvious here, but I keep getting a message that says my iCloud storage is full .... but as you can see here, it’s not full (?)

What am I missing here?

I’m getting this on my SE from time to time since I upgraded it recently on my Max.

I haven’t tried any troubleshooting since I thought it was super minor. You may need to do a full iCloud backup, sign out, keep data on iPhone and sign back in.

Started getting this message when i upgraded to iOS 13.

I mean, clearly I’m not out of iCloud storage... but my iPhone X thinks I am.

Is there any apps that are requiring that 1gb+ remaining space to be able to back up?

Maybe because you only have a little over 1GB left, and iCloud starts to constantly bug you storage is full. I encountered this once when the storage was less than 2GB left for 50GB plan.

Knowing Apple, this could very well be the case! iCloud storage seems to be pretty cheap, but I wonder if it’s maybe a better idea to offload my large amount of photos and videos to something else so they aren’t living on my device. Of course then you’ve got no photos to look at 😂.

If you have iCloud backup turned on then you’d see the message when you don’t have enough space left to perform a full device backup.

Yep, I had exactly this last night after a restore. I couldn’t complete an iCloud backup because it said I had not enough storage, whilst it was synchronising 30 GB of pictures. At the time there was about 10 GB free of icloud storage. Once the photographs had synchronised, all warnings went and the backup completed.
