I just wanted to ask if there is a solution for my so-called problem. And I wonder if you guys have it also.

I have a push mail through iCloud on my Macbook Pro and my iPhone.

When I read the mail on my iPhone, the mail is automatically read on my Mac also, so there is no the red "1" sign that says that I have a new unread email.

But when I read the mail on my Mac, the mail app on my iPhone always shows the red "1" sign, saying that I have a new unread mail, and I have to open the mail app in order for it to disappear. I don't have to read the mail though, just open the mail app.

It's not a big problem but it is frustrating as I did not have this problem when I had Gmail Sync set up.

Does anybody know of a solution?

Unfortunately there is no answer to the problem at the moment and it is a very old complaint from many of us who used MobileMe

Apple have designed their email push "NOT" to update across all Devices, it will update the read status on a "Mac" but will not update "Read" status to an IOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod)

It is really annoying and is a ongoing issue for many of us,

I use Gmail as my Primary Email address for this reason, as nothing is more frustrating for me that to read and deal with a email on my Mac, then check my iPhone a hour later only to se the same message as unread

I fear we are stuck with this as Apple are showing no signs of relenting to the 1000's of users who have complained so far :(
