Deja Vu?
How very interesting that almost precisely one year later we had a fairly long and frustrating day of non-access to iCloud services. It's after midnight as I type this, but March 14, 2013 and March 13, 2012? Seems suspiciously coincidental. Whatever occurred, I'd have to say it's disappointing that Apple didn't handle whatever scheduled maintenance better this year.
I'm a huge proponent of Apple and their overall approach to most things, but I think their biggest problem is that they are almost always oblivious to the things that really piss their customers off and managing to do those things over and over and over until it is a painful and bloody wound.
I've got a remarkably short list of gripes with Apple products and services, but it's like the 12 Days of Christmas song... it's the same list every year.
Yes, I know you know better than I do what I'm going to like... can you figure out please what things I HATE? Today, I hate the fact that iCloud authentication was down for hours all over the world for a fairly large number of people and yet it appeared to me that my password wasn't working and so I was sent to the iForgot site and forced to change my passwords when I didn't want to... wait for extremely slow and annoying propagation of the new passwords and then spent hours updating all my devices and keychains, etc. because the thing was just not behaving. When it's all done I finally see a news post that Apple had an outage. Infuriating.
