Does anyone know how to iCloud unlock an iPhone 6?
I bought it secondhand from eBay and they did not tell me it was iCloud locked.

It sounds like either the seller didn't realize they had to input their password or you may have been sold a device that was never intended to work. Message the seller and try to get some clarification. If the seller doesn't cooperate, I believe eBay has rules that protect buyers from these kind of situations. Contact eBay and ask them for a refund.

That why you don't buy iPhones off eBay swappa would have been better has they don't allow people too sell iCloud locked phones. So unless you can return the phone too the buyer you stuck with a vary nic paper wight iPhone that you can't do nothing with

Contact the seller, they'll either give you their iCloud password (which I doubt they will) or they can login to iCloud.com and can delete your device from their account so that you can use it.

And if they won't respond then I wouldn't be surprised if my was stolen and I'd take it to an Apple Store and ask about it. And get my money back from eBay.

The Apple Store won't be able to do anything except help you reset the password for the Apple ID associated with the device or unlock Find My Device with original proof of purchase with matching serial/imei, name and government issued photo ID. The best bet for the OP is to contact the seller for a resolution or eBay for a refund.

Apple added the Activation Lock to iOS 7 to combat the rampant unauthorized reselling of lost/stolen devices. There is no way around this lockout…

Your only options are to contact the person you bought it from and
  1. get the seller to remove the device from their iCloud account.
  2. get your money back.
If you bought it from an honest/legitimate seller, they’ll help you out. If you bought a stolen device from a scumbag, you are simply SOL, and you now own a pretty, albeit expensive, paperweight. You might be able to get a refund if you paid for the device with Paypal - just file a claim and see what happens. Otherwise, you are simply out of luck.

Since you purchased the device from someone on eBay, take whatever recourse you have against the seller to recover your cash.

In the future, before you buy a used iOS device make sure there is no active Activation Lock enabled that device. Just get either the serial number or IMEI and enter it here. Apple will report the status of the device.

I would think apple could get the unit back to the actual owner if it was stolen by simply emailing the person who's account has the device locked. I know if I bought a device and found out it was stolen such as this I'd want to get it back to the original owner myself.

They do not.

There's legal implications that Apple probably doesn't want to get involved with.
