What is everyone suing as far as home movies is concerned, at present had my library on iTunes under movies and home videos, but thinking of importing them to iPhoto or photo app so can upload to iCloud. The issue i see is the labelling of the movies to find in future as the names of file cannot be seen or searched.
What is everyone else doing as to home videos using iTunes still or photo app?

what is the best way? Thanks.

That's what I've done, moved everything over from iTunes Home Videos to Photos. Having every home movie I've ever made available to watch on my phone from the cloud is fantastic. It makes train journeys to work so much more enjoyable.

Re your point about searching for the name of the file, it works for me - under the search box in Photos, if you type in a word from the file name, it locates it for you and lets you play it. Give it a try.

Somehow the file name for videos does not work as to search for me, it seems the tiles are missing. Wonder if will need to add all the titles again.

How did you move it from iTunes to photos app is there an export from iTunes just want to make sure did it correctly. Thanks.

I literally just dragged and dropped the files over from iTunes to Photos. Once I had double & triple-checked that everything had transferred over ok, I then deleted the original files from iTunes. Was simple.

I use iTunes as well for my home movies; I personally prefer my home movies (which are 4+ hrs each) to be in the videos app. Id prefer to have them in the cloud, but I really don't want them to be in the photos app, as it is already pretty congested with 17000 pictures >.< if iTunes match worked on my videos as well, it would be perfect!
