Is it true that you can now save photos from the photos app to a folder within iCloud Drive in iOS 10?

I read somewhere that this was now possible, but I can't find where I read it.

Yes, the option is in the share sheet.

Brill, so the pictures I save from Safari can be uploaded to iCloud Drive and not have to remain part of my Photo collection? I hated having saved pictures appear in my Photos app.
Looks that way. I can open the photo in Safari, use the share sheet and select a folder in iCloud Drive. I could also save the photo as always, then send that photo to a folder in iCloud Drive and delete the photo after.
