My wife and I both have iPhones and iPads and we share an iTunes account. Will we be able to keep our contacts, pictures, etc. separate while still using the same iTunes account. If so, would it be something like iCloud letting us create separate @me email addresses?

I think a lot of people are waiting to find out still. Now iOS5 and iCloud have been unveiled, beta testers might be able to offer more information.

I'm particularly nervous about switching to iCloud as I currently have a family plan MobileMe account, so when I make the jump, if iCloud doesn't work as I need, I'm going to have some explaining to do to my nearest and dearest.

I really don't think the household iTunes account, and individual .me/iCloud email/calendar account scenario is going to be a rare one.

Yes, individual @me accounts and 1 iTunes account. That's how I'm using it.

Is it easy?

Yes, individual @me accounts and 1 iTunes account. That's how I'm using it.

I'm so glad to hear that. I wast sure either how my wife and I could keep it separate (email, pictures, imessage, documents, etc) and still use my single iTunes library. What are the basic steps in setting something like that up?
