I just spent 0.99 on iCloud 50GB does anyone else upgrade? Is it useful to you?

I’m going to start using my iCloud email more now but wanted to see if the upgrade was worth it to others

I ended up upgrading my iCloud storage some time ago. Between pictures and backups from my iPhone and iPad I was running out of space. Plus, I store other files in the cloud too, so all in all it just made sense.

i just deleted everything from iCloud except several photos of my cat, this morning iCloud wanted to back up my iPad, which i would never never never do. therefore i nearby grant that you can use my used iCloud GBs storage, and save $$$!
you can thank me later!

I pay the 79p a month for 50GB. It means that both my phone and iPad back up without me worrying about it, plus I use ProCreate and Pixelmator for artwork which gets stored up in the cloud automatically. Don't even notice 79p/month as a payment yet it makes life just a little bit easier.

Awesome. Thank you everyone. It’s sometimes a pain to download all my pictures and videos, oh to another service and then delete from iCloud.

I have a procreate ?, when exporting artwork to files, what is the image titled? ex does "mona lisa.psd" is seen as "mona lisa" or "image 001"?
im using a non-procreate app on the iPad (which i love), that exports generic titles, not the one i titled.

When you export it will add the filetype extension, but Apple love to hide it. So for example if you export to png, the file will be named "mona lisa.png" but you will see "mona lisa" on screen.

Yup, I'm using iCloud for backups, photo library, documents. Got myself the 200 gb option :)
I’m on the same plan and use it for the same. Really useful with iCloud Drive and having all my files on the mac uploaded and accessible on any of my iOS devices.

I’m currently using about 130GB so will have to upgrade to the 2TB plan at some point.

Gets a bill on SEK9 (0,99$) every month for iCloud.
Pay it gladly. Just use 17 out of 50GB this far.
So my price plan for a few more yrs will stay there :)

50Gig would be plenty for me.... I just wish i wasan't so paranoid about Apple's privacy to acting use it. That's always the way though... you have something great, like the price for that amount of storage, and then comes the *BUT* we will hand it over when law enforcement asks us.

The most that’s using Storage is pictures and videos of my nephew. The camera on the SE is just amazing! But these videos I want to keep like him first crawling, walking, first birthday :) things that I wasn’t able to get with my niece :-(. We’ve come a long way though :)

200GB subscriber here, shared between wife, son and myself using Family Sharing. Works a treat for backing up all of our iOS devices and for having full resolution offsite backups of all of our photos going back years, together with photo syncing across our macs and iOS devices. Being able to store full resolution photos in iCloud and having optimised (ie down rezzed) photos on our devices has cut down on the storage requirements on individual devices.

We’ve found it ‘just works’ (we were MobileMe family pack subscribers beforehand, going back to 2004). We also locally back up the macs with Time Capsule so we’re not wholly reliant on iCloud for our only copy of photos in the event of something going wrong.

Together with our @mac.com email addresses and now with iMessages in the Cloud, the £2.49 GBP per month price is very good value for money.
