is anyone else unable to upgrade to iCloud+ from free 5GB to the cheapest £0.79 option? since installing iOS 15 i keep getting the message, “Your storage could not be upgraded” “iCloud storage could not be upgraded at this time. Try again later in Settings.”

tried restarting my phone and doing it from an ipad but the same thing happens.

Hey Sam , same problem here . Maybe it is a bug or something idk.
If you got some news or changes let me know , ill do the same.
Talked to apple support , they are great , but we could not resolve it . I checked and payment options , and Apple ID , and everything , nothing works . I will wait

I even tried from my Mac , and when I am entering the Apple ID password it says the password is not correct .
Very strange

I'm having the exact same issue right now, cant get it to work at all
Hey , So by me works everything fine. I talked to apple and they helped me by just doing that: I logged out from my Apple ID and then logged in . And it helped me , hope it will help you too

Thanks for the recommendation but unfortunately it still doesn’t work for me.

What I have tried is: rebooting phone, logging out and back in on iCloud, changing networks/trying on mobile data, trying to update in apps other than settings (eg from photos popup)

My payments go through normally on the App Store and apps that use Apple Pay so it can’t be a payment issue. This started since iOS 15, hoping for a fix in the next update.

Are there any updates yet regarding this issue? I still am unable to upgrade iCloud storage…..
Oh god , still can not upgrade , i am so sorry , but as I said I logged out from my Apple ID and then logged in . Did you tried it ? And if you did and in does not works i am sorry . Try to write in apple support
Stay safe and healthy , and all the best wishes to all you who are reading

With peace and love

make sure you billing information is complete and up to date, credit card, address etc

[SOLVED]

So, rebooting and logging out/back in didn’t work for me. What seemed to work for me is adding a credit card as a payment method. Although bear in mind I had this exact same credit card on my Wallet. Maybe they work separately (?) I had to add the said credit card as a payment method on its own again. By doing this, I managed to upgrade.

I find this so weird because I had other payment methods saved. I expected to at least be given the chance to choose which payment method I’d like upon checkout.

You need to go to settings, apple id, and log out of media&purchases. After that you’ll be able to upgrade your storage plan.

Finally worked for my after coming here to find a solution. After choosing my plan it has 2 choices.
Upgrade iCloud+ (something like that)
Not now

I don't know why but "Not now" worked for me. its strange buy by pressing not now took me to a payment screen.

Had the same issue, the recommendation to sign out from 'Media and Purchases' strangely worked for me. Once signed out go to upgrade the storage as normal and there was no issues. Must be a bug or something.
