Icon is still to smaller?

I clicked on show option I changed to 16 text size but the icon is still to smaller. What do I do?

See the two icons where it says "Icon size"? Select the larger one.

You have it sorted by filetype. See the little ^ symbol in the Kind column.

Alphabetically .doc comes before .docx

Which the best docx or doc or something else?

.docx is the default format, and has been since Dec 2006. .doc is the older Word file format.

Moreover .doc documents are read-only on Office for iOS. I had to save all of them to .docx in order to edit them in my iPad.
