The new one doesn't look like it has anything to do with what the app does, so you should keep the old one.

Ive never heard of your app before, so I didnt know what it was. I voted for the new icon because its what tipped me off as to what your app does (because I could tell it was an angry alarm clock).
I think in a side-by-side, the first one works better based on the app name.
However, I like the look of the second one better and think with some tweaking would work better (which is why I voted for new).
If you made it look slightly more like an alarm clock, maybe gave it some arms/hands on its face, slightly smaller and/or raised bells (ears) it would paint a little better and bolder picture of an angry alarm clock, symbolizing a rude awakening.

+1. I didn't even notice it was supposed to be an alarm clock guy, until others mentioned it. However, I miss a lot of things others see, so maybe it's just me.
