Hi,
Saw some cool seasonal icons on the Apple site, but I can't figure out how to swap out the old for the new.

Help.
Thanks.
Frank

to get a fully-functional icon, you must first have a 128x128 pixel icon, it will be resized down by the system, but can't be resized up without pixellating. Someone else can help you with the actual changing of icons, I have had no luck with it myself.

The reason I asked was that I was playing around on the Apple/OSX site and saw some Christmas icons. Thought they'd be pretty cool to use during "the season." I was wondering how to get them into some files.

Wait...are you talking about swapping things like the Finder toolbar button icons and stuff? Or just changing the icon of an individual file or folder or whatever?

To change the icon of a file/folder, copy the new, desired icon to the clipboard. Then select the file/folder and bring up the Get Info window (hit Command-I). Click on the icon at the top of that Get Info window, then hit Command-V to paste in the new, desired icon.

Sorry, I don't know how to change those icons for Finder toolbar buttons and stuff.
