The Evasi0n jailbreak was smooth, but yesterday the icons for apps downloaded from the "official" App Store started acting wonky. The icons for recent purchases get stuck with the word "installing" or "waiting" under them, and sometimes show the blue progress bar. The apps work fine if I tap the icon. Tried rebooting and refreshing the springboard multiple times and uninstalled some Cydia apps recently added, but no luck.

Anyone else seeing this behavior? Suggestions for a fix are welcome and appreciated.

There are a couple threads on this already.

For me Twitter was tha update that was causing the issue. I deleted it and then reinstalled it and every thing updated fine after.

Sorry for the duplication. I search the forum threads and didnt find anything, but maybe I wasn't using the right search terms.

As an update, I ran the iCleaner app from Cydia and the icons are normal, so far.

@jjw141, I am having the same issue as well... i believe it may be some sort of package we may be missing within our cydia or it could be the jailbreak themselves....even after using icleaner mines still show up like that. Its more of a nuissance because the apps still work once i click on them, but i hate that they show up like that. Keep me posted

What tweaks do you have installed?

I was right on it to help him lol... good to see the community is very helpful. I removed bridge and my apps work fine. Did the developer ever get back into contact with you?

He wrote me he will look into it. The more her hears about it the more likely he will fix it.

Did you install AppSync... t has been causing problems with the weather app & iCloud so maybe its affecting how the appstore sees your paid apps and gets confused?

Same here, starting to see that jailbroken apps have their flaws as well lol:cool:

I didn't have a chance to check this discussion until now. Glad to see you were able to figure it out. I also have Bridge installed, but I like this app too much to delete it. Thanks.

No, I don't have AppSync installed, but thanks for the suggestion.

I'm glad a did a forum search before I created a new thread because I was having this same issue.

Just wanted to chime in that I was also having this issue then I uninstalled the jailbreak tweak "Bridge" like someone else suggested and it worked for me as well.

I am surprised you are still having this problem since the update.
