I just ordered my Macbook, but I'm not going to be able to stretch to buying a wireless router for another few weeks. At the moment I use a USB modem on my PC. that PC has a bluetooth dongle, so I'm wondering if it'll be possible to share the connection through bluetooth?

The dongle is a 100M one - what class is the Macbook chip? And if it's possible, what will the speed be like?

I'm sure its possible, havent played with bluetooth much in windows, im betting your speed will be around 50-70kbps maximum... okay for internet browsing, possible gaming, etc... but you could get a whole hell of a lot faster with network connection if you get wifi set up

Well unless you need to use both at the same time then couldn't you just unplug it from the PC and plug it into the macbook and then plug it back into the PC when you are done? Also do you have dial-up or high speed?
