I'd like to see a 26" iMac in the near future. I don't have the greatest eyes and having a larger screen would be perfect. I know I could always get the 30" apple display and a Mac Pro but I love the slimness of the iMac.
You could get an iMac then get a 30" display as a secondary display.
Except you can't drive a 30" display with an iMac. It only supports up to 1920x1200, i.e., the 23" Cinema Display or any industry display with 1920x1200.
I dont really know what you're going to see any better with 2 more inches that you wont see on 24 inches.

OP: sounds like a mac mini and 2 large displays would be what you want.
