I think it would be really cool if there was a nice flight sim app for the iPhone/iPod Touch. The accelerometer would be great for flying (as demonstrated at the SDK Roadmap thingy/keynote[idk what it was called])

My idea is this-Create a flight Sim App that is somewhat similar to MS Flight Sim. You could have a virtual cockpit with buttons and components that can be controlled by by touch and moving them. You could rotate around the cockpit and zoom in and out with the pinching method. There could be a little "i" type thing in the bottom right corner (i.e. widget settings) where you could change settings or switch views from cockpit to...idk, whatever.

i'm sure there is lots that could be done with this idea...please give any thoughts or suggestions or ideas!

I would pay big money for an app like this. I would try to make it myself, but I have no idea how to do that (and I can't afford to submit my app to the app store anyways). Somebody want to make this?
:D

generally speaking yes, although you're not going to get something that is that close to MSFS.

Remember... Try to use the least amount of buttons as you can. Try to take advantage of other features to try and replace just tapping on the screen for functions.
