So I don't really have the time to write an app myself so I thought I would throw this idea out there. XM and Sirius both have web interfaces to allow online listening for their customers. Why not create an app that taps into their online streaming to effectively create a second satellite radio without the additional monthly fee? I think allot of people would pay about $10-$15 for it considering the cost of a portable satellite player, or with the use of an fm transmitter it could be used in your vehicle.

If you already have a XM Radio in your car, why would you use this?

Write an app - go to jail...

I think this is a great idea so long as you're not violating any licensing or copyright laws. Which I'm pretty sure you will be without XM's blessing.

Did you ever meet someone with more than one car? How about someone who likes to play music indoors?

If they have another car, they can get another radio for like $10 and only $6.99/month for service.

Indoors, they can just use their computer play the XM radio on the web, or if they have Dish Network or DirectTV, they already have one of the radio services included.

If you want to pay for a subscription for me so I can work on it, sure, I'll give it shot. :)
