I want to have identical notification sounds for

- new emails on my Mac and my iPhone
- new text messages on my Mac and my iPhone
- calendar alarms on my Mac and my iPhone

This means: 3 different sounds for 3 different things, but the same sounds for the same things on Mac and iPhone.

I actually think this should be an easy task - but I don't get this done. I wonder why Apple does not offer the option "identical notification sounds" in the respective applications on Mac and iPhone.

How do I have to do this?

Thanks.

I'm confused... The default sounds for these are the same on iOS and macOS. They are identical across my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro. Email has Ding (called 'New Messages Sound' on macOS), Messages has Notes, and Calendar & Reminders has Chord.

You can change the sound for Mail and Messages in macOS (Messages offers the same sounds that are also in iOS). I haven't found a place where we can change the sound for Calendar and Reminders in macOS though.
