Identify and MetaX not tagging anymore

I use Identify a lot and it was working perfect for ages and then suddenly a week ago it just couldn't find anything anymore.. Even if i manually put in the IMDB code for the episode it still won't find it.

I also downloaded MetaX to try that and it just doesn't find them at all. Im still using the same naming system as before.

ShowName.S#E#.mp4

Am i missing something?

Any other programs to try?

I use iFlicks, and i must say, its a very good program. It can do tagging and converting at the same time. You can dump multiple files or a whole folder, you can convert for certain devices or just for AppleTV. The current version supports the old Appletv (as in the setting "AppleTV") so i use the "HD 720p" preset to convert my .avi for the new appletv. Also its integrated with itunes so lets say if you had previous files on itunes you dont need to go in finder and find them to tag them and stuff.

In conclusion, you should check it out, the developer answers questions and takes feedback serious.

Side note: The current build doesnt support converting .mkv properly. He says there is a workarround that involves converting it then readding it or something. Anyways a beta right now works to convert .mkv files.

Other than that, great program and very easy to use.

I am using identify2 and it is working for me. I use the same naming profile as you ShowName.S#E#

Thanks for that i'll have a look into it. I already use handbrake for encoding which i find works great (apart from having to select files individually).

I just turned tagchimp back on in the options and it finds them now, but i never had that turned on before.. Ide rather just get them from TVDB. Oh well.

Yea check it out, i find it saves me the hassle of multiple programs to do the job. Plus the conversions are comparable if not faster than handbrake (h264 setting) and the files sizes are great (usually smaller than the original file itself). I dont have to worry about setting the "quality" settings right, because it does it all automatically, and the quality is equal to the original file in my option.
