Identify component on MagSafe board

Hi all,
I hope someone helps me to identify the component circled in red on a 2009 820-2565-A magsafe board.
It burned down due to a short circuit that I accidentally caused, I think it's a transistor and the only symbol I can see above it is the letter "P"

just replace the whole MagSafe board, it's pretty cheap

Yes, I also know that the replacement is cheap but I wanted to try and repair it.

I tried to remove the burned component and the mac turns on anyway. So I do not know what component it is and I do not understand what it is for.
Help
