Anyone else use Identify to tag their TV shows & movies? I found it better then MetaX but am now entering a new era that I don't know how to do this. I'm ripping two TV shows, from different years with the same name. Basically, BattleStar Galactica. I have the original series and the new one; how do I get Identify to detect one from the other? Do I encode the year on the file name?

Thanks!

i for one.

how do I get Identify to detect one from the other?

what i do is check IMDb for the "tt" code of the movie or tv show.

for example, battelstar galactica's original series (1978-1979) is coded "tt0076984" while BSG from 2004 is coded "tt0407362".

enter the code in the IMDb code box of identify

and have identify rescan the file.

Also use Identify and i love it, hands down the best tagger (IMHO). I ran into a similar issue with Archer, seems there was an old TV way back aslo called Archer.

What i did was add the year to the name and that seemed to work.

Instead of "Archer S1E1", i name the file "Archer (2009) S1E1"
