So I've been trying to figure this out but haven't found anything that could explain it to me in a way that I could understand. Forgive me if this should be obvious; I couldn't figure it out.
If I have a LAN with some devices connected over Wi-Fi to an AirPort Time Capsule and others to a gigabit switch, how can I find what devices are actually on the network with a given DHCP address? In AirPort Utility, I can see devices that are connected to the Wi-Fi network, but not those connected over a cable. I was able to get a partial list via Terminal, but it was just addresses (e.g. 10.0.1.20) with no way to find to which device each corresponded.
Is there any relatively simple way for me to track in real-time devices (and maybe information about them like that which is offered by AirPort Utility) for all devices on the LAN (wired and wireless)?
