So I found a set of restore discs that I'm not sure belong to my 2007 iMac or my wife's 2008 MacBook. Anyone know how to tell the the difference? Is there a handy part # list somewhere?

Tyr to run the "additional applications" install from the disk. It'll tell you if the installation is authorized on that machine or not.

If the discs have a model part...

You can look in everymac.com in the models you presume and identify what models fit in the data labelled in your discs...I hope:):apple:

Thanks, I actually found it by Googling the Apple Hardware Test version.. 3A137 is the MacBook, not the iMac.. time to keep looking :)
