I think that the success of iPad Pro will depend not only on consumers and enterprise, but developers themselves. As a content creation device, one of the features the iPad Pro should have is a diverse selection of IDEs in the App Store, including Xcode. As an aspiring programmer the only thing making me hold on to the Mac (and traditional computers in general) is the fact that it's still the only place for to find capable IDEs. I know there are a few apps on the App Store that kinda tackle this, but there is no general push to create desktop-par IDEs. I hope that changes within the next year.
