Hi all,
I just signed up for .mac mostly because of idisk. I want to access it via my windows xp machine also. BUT, when I try to install the "idisk utility for windows" I get a message that says ":
1. idisk utility for windows needs to add configuration information to your computer's hosts file. So, I click OK. BUT, then I get:
2. idisk utility for windows was unable to add necessary configuration information to your computer's hosts file.

I've searched high and low on the .mac site, apple general site, here, etc. but can't find any suggestions.

Anyone? Anyone? ;)

THANKS!

The only thing I can think of is to make sure your user has access to alter your Hosts file (found, I believe, in WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC\HOSTS). Make sure that the file is #1 not read only and #2 that you are logged on as an Admin.

You were right, man! Thanks, Dave. That did the trick.

Much appreciated,

Chris
