Today I was trying to copy a few movies to my webspace, and it's exhibiting this really annoying problem: even if I delete some movies and pictures, the free space never gets updated -- it's always stuck at 3.8 MB. I deleted a few music files that I KNOW are larger than 0.1 MB, so the free space should've changed. When I try to copy files that are larger than 3.8 MB (but less than the free space I ACTUALLY have, the Finder claims that my iDisk doesn't have enough space).

I suspected something was wrong, so I connected to my iDisk by manually connecting to "idisk.mac.com" using the "Connect to Server..." menu item in the Go menu. When I mounted it this way, the correct free space was reported... 13.6 MB. But when I try to copy files over this way, they just disappear after they finish copying!

I even tried to mount my iDisk in another user, and on another computer. Same results.

I now have a non-functional iDisk. Can anybody provide any help? This problem is really annoying! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would contact Apple, did you touch any files when mounted on a Windows machine? Because Windows can see different files and messing with then isn't a smart idea. I would call Apple, although I know there is no .Mac phone number although there should be. (I'm still trying to find teh right expiration date of the $20 renewal coupon!!) Call the main Apple Number and talk to them, the worse they can do is hangup, then you just call back :p

good luck!
