I just got a .Mac account and I'm trying to get my iDisk to work. I downloaded and installed the iDisk utility and I can connect to my iDisk. However, I only seem to have read only access for some functions. Like if I try to create a folder or copy a file to my iDisk I get the following error.

The operation could not be completed because you do not have enough access privileges

However, I ran the backup utility and was able to upload everything I wanted. What is going on here?

Of course you can't write to everything on your iDisk. For example, the Software folder is not specific to your iDisk. It is just an alias to a folder shared by all .Mac subscribers.

Oh man, I feel dumb. I just realized the limitations of it. You cannot create you own files or folders in the "home" of your iDisk, but only in the folders Apple has made for you. Glad I figured it out, I thought something was wrong with my computer or .Mac account!
