iDisk Sync Errors

I am using iDisk with iDisk Sync On set to update Automatically.

I am auto syncing from one computer only. When working on this computer while I have a doc open and am editing it, every few minuted i get the orange ball and a sync error asking me to resolve the conflict. There is no conflict though, the latest version on my HD should (as far as I am concerned) be copied to iDisk. No modification has been made via another comp.

The MobileMe chatline helper are not able to resolve this.

is there a way to have auto setting of always use latest copy?

I use 10.5.8; would 10.6 solve this?

I have tried various tricks of clearing the cache (logging on bogus password, and then agian correct pwrd.). Turning Auto sync off back on etc etc

Any ideas?

In answer to my own question, it looks like I should give up and use Drop Box. Making the cost of mobile me just for iCal and Mail rather high!

I've noticed that MobileMe seems to have problems syncing while you have the document open. I'm not really sure how to fix that though.

There is a setting in system prefs to automatically take the newest version of a document though

I cannot find any such setting in the system prefs. Can you lead me to it?

sure,

System Preferences > MobileMe > iDisk tab - at the bottom there is a checkbox for always keep the most recent version of a file

I experience the same thing. It is very annoying when I am working on the document, and I'm informed of the syncing error.
