I've just noticed this application has appeared in the App Store. It allows for syncing your tasks with Outlook.

Has anyone downloaded yet ? and can provide a quick review ?

Thanks..

Thought I would answer my own thread :p

I've now downloaded the software from the App Store and also the software you need to run on the Windows PC.

I've only used the software for approx. 30 minutes but this application shows great promise. It is great that I can now sync my Outlook tasks with the iPhone and any changes made are synced back again !

However, this really is an early beta of the software. Some of the issues I've found so far are:

- When I first loaded the software and synced it managed to turn 10 tasks into 100 tasks.
- The screen was messed up with parts of the screen being left on the display.
- The Task Start and End dates have come across with stupid dates (i.e. the year is something like 1949 !)
- The application seems really slow when changing screens.

The first two problems above appear to have been fixed by rebooting my iPhone.

On the whole I love the concept - just really hope the development team continue releasing new versions that fix the problems.

Also, if you are installing the software on your windows PC be aware that the installation software is in German ! and also you need to install the Net Framework 2.0 and also have Bonjour running on the PC (if you install iTunes then you get Bonjour)..

I'll keep an eye on this.

Is sync automatic on Windows?

I use Outlook Tasks a lot - as I'm moving over from an iPaw to an iPhone. Just need Notes now! But be worth £3.49 to me.

The software on the PC runs in the background. You then click the [Sync] button on the iPhone when you want the iPhone to communicate (over wifi) with the PC and sync the tasks.

One thing to note is that this obviously wont work if you use a VPN on the outlook machine as the iPhone won't be able to see the PC. So you need to disconnect your VPN let the PC go back onto your normal home network and then perform the sync.

I downloaded the iDO SW but for some reason my Oulook tasks will not sync with my iPhone. I keep getting a notification that says "Bonjour registration failed" .

Any suggestions? I emailed iDO but no reply.

Hi, Have you downloaded iTunes onto the Windows PC ? If not then you either need to do that or download the Bonjour Windows Software from the Apple Website.
